thinking of culture - and how it makes us who we are...
environmental stimuli...
it's more about what we experience than what we inherit. culture influences us.
it shows us what we 'are'. it shows us a point-of-reference from which we MANIFEST OUR EXPERIENCES.
culture.
our mind uses a variety of factors (absorbed through our senses - provided by our environment) to 'cue' the reality that unfolds around us. we are what we EXPECT. our reality is more than just 'chance'. there is a 'harmony' that exists.
through culture - we communicate our collective self-consciousness. how a society sees itself is how a society will become.
the same goes for an individual...
TECHNOLOGY IS A PART OF THE PROCESS.
technology connects us...
technology TIES us together.
through the internet, the telephone, and all of our cameras and recorders we are SEEING WHAT WE ARE...
and it's pushing us forward.
and though the opposite seems evident to me - some people seem to think technology is somehow a 'rival' to mankind...
that through deforestation, pollution, and a host of other modern concerns - caused in one way or another by technological developments - put there to 'enhance' the lives of mankind - we are somehow killing our world...
WE ARE PART OF A SYSTEM. A SYSTEM OF SOULS. FOLLOWING OUR INSTINCTS. FOLLOWING OUR CUES. UNITED THROUGH TECHNOLOGY. IN PERFECT SYNCH AT ALL TIMES...
through technology we get better and better at producing...
we get better at communicating...
transportation improves...
and though man's main focus is primarily 'financial' - the evolution of our planet (which i believe all technology to be a part of) is driven by a NATURAL ORDER - INHERENT TO ALL OF THE UNIVERSE.
as societies grow - as the world develops around us - so does our quality of life.
we need to realize the role our THOUGHTS play in this 'unfolding' of the Universe!
we need to open our eyes, and recognize that we're personally responsible for what we will become!
we need to change the way we 'are'...
but things will be what things will be...
and it's hard to witness our development - because the kind of changes that i am talking about could take several generations to manifest... but we definitely progress - one generation after the next... CHOICE is an illusion. we need to create a better way to 'flow'... we are a SYSTEM - that is programmed to maintain the planet we live on. destruction is inevitable - for the planet to be renewed... our WILL IS DETERMINED.
technology, culture, economy, natural resources...
all a part of the same SYSTEM.
we are the ones that build these things up - to enhance our states of being...
we give the system SOUL.
