reality is, because of consciousness...
we recieve information through our senses, and our minds use this information to 'create' what we know as existence.
culture is the sum total of the attainments and learned behavior patterns of any specific period, race, or people regarded as expressing a traditional way of life subject to gradual but continuous modification by succeeding generations. considering this, and the many dividing factors between people (like time, distance, language, etc.) - it seems to me that the evolution of mankind - through the evolution of culture - is driven by our own self-awareness.
and with this 'self-awareness', we see the differences of 'being' that have, and always will exist in our world. and based on what we SEE and EXPERIENCE, the minds of generations to come will generate ALL NEW REALITIES, and ALL NEW EXPERIENCES, comparable to nothing man has ever known before...
consider our environment. culture reflects conditions. but how would we know if it was the other way around? how would we be able to SEE IT if the world we live in was a product of the culture that exists? we can't.
things just happen - as they always have...
but our world evolves...
from caves to skyscrapers - paths into highways...
and our minds evolve as well - from savage to genius...
illiterate into intellectiually driven...
then, there's TECHNOLOGY. mankind's crowning achievements - all of a technological nature - all put here to ENHANCE the world in which we live.
we create new landscapes... we evolve new WORLDS, intentionally, with our own ingenuity...
mankind has a means of living much easier lives than we ever have before - NOW. we can live longer. we can live more comfortably. and some of us do, while some of us still experience life as a struggle - free of all luxury and endulgence.
as a more 'comfortable' human, i feel more 'evolved'...
i'm a part of a more 'comfortable' culture - and for that i am thankful and proud.
i am happy.
i love life.
societies who cling onto old dogmas - who refuse to accept new 'ways' and new 'understandings' often live less comfortable lives... why do third world societies still exist?
it's more than just their economies...
it isn't just the money...
it's their inability to adapt to modern living because of cultural staples, prejudices, and ignorance that HOLD THEM BACK.
AIR CONDITIONING IS GOOD. BOTTLED WATER IS GOOD. I FEEL LUCKY TO BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH MY LOVED ONES ACROSS GREAT DISTANCES - OR EVEN GO AND SEE THEM IF I WANT TO. I FEEL BLESSED TO NOT BE STRUGGLING - TO NOT BE SUFFERING - TO BE ALRIGHT...
sometimes, i feel enlightened...
but i have a long way to go.
technology is the way.
through the web, as well as mass media - we're getting closer to each other than we've ever been before. we can see what one another are going through, as it happens. we can be informed about weather patterns, and current events, and the condition of the planet we live on.
barriers are coming down.
there's no longer a limit to how far away we can be from one another, and still communicate... not one that effects me.
SOUL OR SYSTEM!!! THE EYEONASPHERE!!!
now, not only can we communicate OUR SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS - but we can actually BROADCAST THE GOINGS ON OF OUR SUBCONSCIOUS (the blueprints to everything that 'is')... we will learn to SEE the complex systems that govern the entire UNIVERSE, and we'll play a WHOLE NEW ROLE in the developement of ALL THAT IS.
TOGETHER - WE'LL CREATE A NEW REALITY!
